Easter 2007!

We had a great Easter Day! One of the things I love about Easter is that it's on a Sunday (obviously..) so we get a chance to see our church family! I also love how all the little kiddos dress up in their Easter outfits and most of all I love that we can celebrate our risen Savior Jesus! It is because of Him that we can live eternally!

We were a bit lazy this year when it came to the kids easter baskets. We bought the pre-made ones.. but they seemed to love them! With Paden we had to go with the basketball one.. Corrin the princess one.. and Malachi the dancing chicken (ok, that last one was not a basket.. just a.. dancing chicken..). We had great church services, great food, great conversation and a fun Easter Egg hunt! All in all.. it was a great day!

Corrin's First Easter Egg Hunt

Corrin had her first Easter egg hunt this year! She was so cute! She didn't quite understand the concept. We had to tell her where all the eggs were, and I had to show her how to put the eggs in the basket everytime we found one. It was so cute when she would see one because she would scream and get so excited! She has such a fun personality! We were just commenting today on how cheerful she is and how much joy she brings to our family!

Paden turned three this month! I can't believe it.. I feel like I just found out I was pregnant with him! We had a great birthday party. It was so fun having our friends and family there! I had planned on doing a "Cars" birthday for him until I spoke with him about it! I was trying to get him excited about it so I said "Paden! Are you we going to have a Cars birthday for you???" and he said "No.. Piderman!"I said "You don't want Cars??" and he said "Umm.. no... Piderman!" So I realized in that moment, gone are the days of making all the decisions for him...

Children are a precious loan..

I saw this prayer on bible.com one day and I loved it so much that I printed it out and put in on my wall above my computer. My kids are so precious to me and God is so precious to me that I just pray that they are able to see Him in every aspect of my life. God has loaned them to me... I have an incredible responsibility..

"Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for the many women over the years who have dedicated their children to the Lord and those children have in turn, served You. May I, and all mothers, realize the awesome responsibility and opportunity we have to raise our children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Use our children in Your kingdom and cause them to become strong Christian witnesses. May they speak the Word of the Lord, even as we speak and teach the Word to them. Use them as Your humble servants and keep them from evil. I ask this in the name of the Lord, Jesus. Amen."

Baby Einstein...

I used to babysit a little boy who loved Baby Einstein. I remember putting on one of the 30 minute videos and he sat there through the ENTIRE thing in awe. After I had Paden I use to borrow a couple of my friends baby einsteins until we purchased our own. He loved them! Then, of course, Corrin loved them as well and now this pic is the first time Malachi watched it. He seemed to love it.. I couldn't get him to express how he was feeling though.. =)=)
(I understand there is the rare occasion in which the child does not think so highly about the videos.. but for most children.. I recommend these videos!)
